Flowers
Our flowers are grown with the seasons on our historic property.
We grow flowers that feel at home in an old New England garden — timeless varieties selected for beauty, fragrance, and vase life. From the first tulips of spring to the dahlias of late summer, every stem is grown, harvested, and carefully handled here at Prior Farm.
We offer seasonal bouquets, wholesale flowers for florists, and limited custom arrangements throughout the growing season. Our flowers are harvested at their peak and reflect the changing rhythms of our farm and the coastal New England landscape.
We believe flowers have a way of marking life’s meaningful moments — both the extraordinary and the everyday.
Tulips
Tulips are the first true celebration of spring at Prior Farm. Their graceful forms and striking colors arrive after a long New England winter, bringing a sense of renewal and anticipation to the season ahead. Each stem is harvested at its peak and reflects the beauty of spring’s arrival.
We select and grow only unique varieties of tulips — hard to find in the average shop. We gravitate toward fringed, parrot, and double peony-style.
Peony
Peony are the heart of our flower season. Beloved for their lush blooms, delicate fragrance, and timeless beauty, they are among the most anticipated flowers of the year. Their brief bloom period makes them all the more treasured — a reminder to savor the abundance of early summer.
On the farm we cultivate over 20 different varieties of peony, with plans to add more each year.
Dahlia
As summer heats up and leans toward autumn, dahlia take center stage. With their extraordinary range if colors, forms, and textures, they provide an endless display of beauty through the late season. These hardworking blooms never cease to amaze.
Our dahlia rows are packed with over 60 different varieties this season.
